Russian Eye: VLADIMIR PETROVSKY
Vladimir Petrovsky
Dr. Vladimir Petrovsky is president of the Russian National Peace Council. He is also coordinator for foreign policy studies of the Russian Political Science Association and a member of the academic board of Russia's Academy of Diplomatic Services. He served as a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies from 2003-2005. Dr. Petrovsky has held the chair professorship of Global Political Processes at Moscow State University of International Relations, and has been a researcher at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences, and a member of the expert group on military reform and civil-military relations under the Defense Committee of the State Duma (Russian Parliament). His publications include the monographic Post Cold War Security Regimes in Asia Pacific: Russian Viewpoint (Moscow, 1998).
